Question about ESP/ABS when driving in mud...

FYI, just tried this in a 2002, and it DOES NOT work. At all.
If you hold down the ESP button for about 10 seconds the light goes off, but all it does is reactivate ESP again, and then it doesn't let you turn it off until you turn the car off/on again. YMMV.
