Default Question regarding leather vs. vinyl

Does anyone know exactly what parts of the interior are leather and what parts are vinyl? I know that the seating surfaces and the outside portion of the steering wheel are leather. It's also apparent that the dash is vinyl, but what about the other items?.....door panels, headrest, sides of the seats, backs of the seats, console, etc.

Default Everything that looks like leather - door inserts, side and back of seats, head rests

are all leather. Audi and Mercedes are the only companies to do this. Everyone else does leather seating surfaces. Mazda had a lawsuit once because they claimed on the window sticker that they had a leather interior, when they really had leather seating surfaces.

Default It's drum dyed using non-metallic dyes and non- laquered

finish. Audi uses calf-skin, steerhide, and water buffalo depending on various cars.

Default What's cricket leather?

What's "cricket" leather? I've heard references to that in connection with the allroad. Figuring it was a type of leather, like napa leather, I did a web search and didn't really find anything explaining that term. In fact, nearly every search hit was for the allroad.

It's a reference to the texture. Just like Valcona refers to really smooth Audi leather.
