bars #4B9071151 666? I am ready to buy the new Thule Atlantis 1600 box (#686B black) online but the Thule configuration tool recommends the #450 Crossroad mounts and #LB50 square loadbars. The Thule RB47 aero bars do not appear for the allroad with factory rack (side rails) yet the installation instructions show the 1600 box clamping onto aero rails. The LB50 load bars would stick out a full 5" past the side rails on each side; too much for my taste. The aero rails should have less wind noise. I'm inclined to buy the factory aero bars/mounts from ClairParts and take a chance. Ready to order all Saturday so comments are appreciated.
Does anyone use the Thule wind fairing with the roof box installed or only when the box is removed?
Any comments on the box lift with ropes to store the unit at the ceiling?
Comments on the the matching Thule "Go Pack" 4 piece matching luggage? I see it is free when you buy a box through sale participating dealers.
I've converted the alload into a "rolling billboard" today; photos when the sun comes up.

The US version of the aero bars (RB47) will require the 450R feed because the bar tightener is not part of the bars but rather in the foot pack. I have some older Thule rapid rail footpacks and I almost bought the RB47 sight unseen. I went to my local fitter and there discovered that the bars would have been useless. I ended up getting the euro version of the aero bars which worked with my footpack.
I would recommend getting the 450R & RB47 combo as they are quite nice.

I was hoping to using the oem aero bars instead.
Have you had good experience with those?

It all works nicely although I actually bought a wider set of LB50's so that I could mount Bike trays outboard of the pod. Now I can carry my two DH bikes, my camping gear in the pod, the doggy in the back, the soon to be new sprog in the childseat and still have room for a passenger.
As for square bars and noise - the bikes take care of that.
