The RaceStore has Polished aluminum mirrors available...
$398 and about 2 weeks for delivery.
Ralf, mentioned if a bunch of us were interested he could give us a better price.
Personally I wanted brushed, but it looks like no one has them available.

I personally don't like polished aluminum mirrors...
I was looking at an S4 prior to getting the allroad, and the sport package with aluminum mirrors looked strange to me. I guess different strokes for different folks. Brushed aluminum sounds intriguing though.
Maybe I'm missing something... what is it about the polished aluminum mirrors that makes you want to "upgrade"?

I would rather have brushed myself, maybe the plished one's will dull out after awhile...but
I think it would look good on my car (Alpacka) since it will go long with the other aluminum trim on the car.
Of course on a silver car it wouldn't stand out as much and might look wierd, so I understand what you mean by strange.

Race store does not have for allroad... 8-)
I would like the direct name of your contact at the "RaceStore" - I called them and was told (very nicely) that they can not get them, YET! They offer aluminum mirror covers in brushed and polished for all Audis but NONE for the allroad-size mirrors.
I received my aluminum mirrors on 11/6 but had to send them back because they arrived damaged. The only way I could obtain them was through the same "connections" in Germany I used obtaining my Euro-surround. I would be very interested to know if your contact can ACTUALLY get them or is he simply "anticipating" getting them. Also, $398 is a VERY fair price.... 8-)
Once my NEW new mirror covers arrive, I will let you all know if they can be ordered via my "vendor". At this time, it's being done for me as a favor - I must still pay however (approx. $550 USD)
P.S.
I'm not sure if I REALLY want them installed - I prefer the brushed and they're "polished". I will have to put them on then make a decision... 8-)
