Default RE: APR stg 1 chip

Is APR'S stg1 chip compatible with all year 2.7t allroads? I can't get any clear information on this. I'm not sure what changes they made in the ECU's throughout the years.

Basically I want to know if I can take a apr stg 1 chip from a 01' allroad and put it in my 03'.

any help greatly appreciated, thanks.

Default chip or the whole ecu, apr solder in chips have a way to program called home programmer. There are

different connections for the home programmer to chip, look at APR web page for pictures of different types. Should be able to put chip in different ecu if you have mad soldering skillz!

Default I remember that it was a different "flash" for an 03 and an 01, I don't know

if that means the "chip" would be different

Default With home programmer you can change the software from 01 to 03 then. That's how some of us allroader

s ran s4 software in our cars. I have a home programmer to change programs, it would depend on what type of connector is on the chip you are trying to change software on. My home programmer has a flat ribbon that inserts into the chip port.

APR use to have all the software on their web page.
