I'm trying to determine its location, and have the drivers side rear wheel and fender liner off. All I see is at the back end and this is the emissions control system. What am I not seeing here??? Just want to add a little air tool oil into the intake to quiet the compressor down. Any pix out there?

Supposedly the intake is in the front of the spare tire well, so it pulls air from the interior of the car. You should be able to access it by pulling the spare. You may want to check this out, as I haven't had time to independently verify this.

That is a good call on the air tool oil, but I wouldn't add much. You probably already know that though, if you're thinking about air tool oil.

Intake for 2004AR is indeed in the spare wheel well.

if it is a desiccant drier oil might not be a good idea. The inlet is in the spare tire well.
