Default The reason for the CEL is the torque converter (again)

The dealer calls my wife and says that the CEL is the torque converter. Second time in four years... We don't race or drive hard the allroad. I do accelerate hard once in a while, but I get to drive the allroad very rarely. Even so, are we not supposed to do that?

I am thinking either there is something else wrong with the car that causes the torque converter go bad; or more likely to my paranoid mind, that the dealer is screwing Audi as they tried to screw us this morning, and as they managed to screw me at least once in the past.

Additionally, someone rear ended the allroad this morning when my wife was taking it to the dealer! They accepted full liability...
