Rebuilding Transmission DIY
My transmission is going to be taken off for me for a torque rebuild and i am debating if i should attempt a transmission DIY. You guys thinks its possible? Despite the fact that i never actually dug inside a transmission. How hard can it be if your organized take very good notes and step by step pictures?
The reason i started wondering about this is because my check engine came on today and when i checked the codes it was 18032 that set off the MIL and i tried erasing it but it won't, so this got me a little worried, I have had the 17125 code since i bought the car and was waiting around for my mechanic to free up and this came on.
So i don't know if the tranny is going bad (as i still have a strong reverse) or is it just my TC thats failing? If i change the tc how long will the tranny last me?
also if i were to do just the tc rebuild, which seals should i change while the tranny is out?
