I'm considering the same seats for my daughter.

I really, really, really want the Recaro, but I'm concerned about the 40 lb limit on the harness. Safety seems to point towards keeping her in the harness for as long as possible, but the Recaro bumps your child out of the harness at 40 lbs (or 40 inches).

The Frontier on the other hand allows them to stay in the harness until 80 lbs if you want.

If it wasn't for this, I'd have ordered the Recaro already....

Recaro Signo goes to 8 years and 70 pounds in the harness.

I was talking about the YoungSport, but doobie just made a comment about the Signo not having this limitation.

Of course then I have the problem of having to get yet another seat to take me from 70 lbs to 80 lbs - your child has to be 80 lbs before coming out of a seat completely in Canada (at least in Ontario). This is assuming the upper limit for the Signo is 70 lbs (not just the harness portion of the seat) - I'm going to check it out now.

allroad rear facing 3rd row seat for the win. The 3rd row seat is designed to accommodate a child that is at least 3 years old and up to 90 pounds. No need for a booster or a car seat when using the OEM 3rd row seat.
