I recently bought a reasonably priced set of dual spoke wheels (thanks 02Allroad) that have a bit of scuff and curbage. After looking into getting one or more of them refinished professionally, I've decided to go the DIY route. There are a few good DIY articles on refinishing wheels out in the archives here and on other forums, so I figured I'd give it a shot.
I am definitely leaning towards trying to match the OEM silver color, but I was just wondering if black, gunmetal, anthracite, etc, might look alright as well. My AR is atlas grey and these will eventually be my summer rims. So I was wondering:
1) does anyone have any photos of an AR with a non-stock color dual spoke wheel? Or even other wheels on an AR that are not silver? (I did find a picture of refinished black ones which I actually kinda like... not sure how they'd look on a grey AR though: https://forums.audiworld.com/allroad/msgs/215415.phtml)
2) if anyone can photoshop a pic of a grey AR changing the color of the dual spoke wheels, I'd be curious to see how that would look.
Thanks everybody.

But don't forget to redo the center caps too.
FWIW- I took my outer piece off to wet sand, primer and paint. I used up two star tools doing it since the ten thousand bolts are loctited in from the factory. Good thing I had an air ratchet or it would have taken forever. So if you buy the tool, might not hurt to get two just in case.

But I'm generally pretty lazy, so the brake dust would make them look dull black quickly... just like steelies.
