My remote key control keeps going dead on me. The dealer repaired it once (not sure what they did) but now, less than a month later, it's dead again. My wife's remote key control does not have this problem.
Has anyone encountered this problem?

Its your wife...she's actually a nuclear powered energy device and the key fob is syphoning her power. Have you noticed how she glows at night?...Consider yourself lucky, my friend.

I had this happen when some stupid kid put my key in a bucket of soapy water on accident (car wash).
Take apart the key and remove the battery (take careful note on how its placed in there). Let it sit in front of a small fan overnight to evaporate the water. Get some new batteries and install them and then re-train your remote for your car (look in your owners manual).

It can happen if you push the button too many times when out of range (or if it rains on a Tuesday immediately followed by a racial slur from a politician).
