Default Remote Programming 2002 Allroad

Hate to be a nuisance, but have used a thread to try and accomplish 2nd key programming. The best I can do is get the second to function fully for panic, unlock, lock and can even drive it, albeight with the security (key) flashing in the display. I can drive it all around in this mode, but after a day the second remote ceases to keep the car running.

Any experience or thoughts on the matter?

Default Dealer (or a VAG-buddy) needs to program the immobilizer chip to the car

I had this problem w/ a key my CO dealer sent me (I bought in Boulder, and live in MN). The new key would open doors, etc., but wouldn't start the car... it needs to be programmed into the car's computer via VAG in order to work properly.

Also, make sure you have the correct key -- '02s and newer have a different key (w/ immobilizer chip) than older models.
