Replace combi hose pinch clamp with worm gear clamp?
Hey everyone.
I recently started getting a P0491 engine code for my secondary air injection and traced the trouble back to the hose shearing off the side of my passenger side combi valve at the clamp. The hose is currently (sorta) being held in place by an pinch clamp, but I don't have the tool to apply a new one. Would a worm drive type hose clamp work just as well, or should I stick with the pinch clamp and buy the tool for it?
Also, I am hoping to be able to cut off the damaged end of the hose, and refit it as there appears to be slack. Is this a good idea or should I just spring on the $50 or so and get a new hose?
