Default replace only ONE turbo?

i understand that twin turbos must be replaced in pairs. if you lose a turbo and your extended warranty will only pay to replace the broken one, what's your out-of-pocket cost for replacing the other one?

Default extended warranty is BSing you (IMHO)

Its both at once. Engine problems can result. They have to do repairs according to the manufacturer's guidlines. Take it up with a manager not an adjuster. Fight like hell for this. and read your contract.

Default it's just hypothetical at the moment

i certainly would fight it if they tried to avoid paying for both.

i'm just trying to analyze possibilities as i prepare to buy an extended warranty. i read a post by someone who said his warranty would only cover the one that actually broke.

Default Ask the company that issues it..

The most secure is the Audi extended that the dealers can sell you.. pricey but secure coverage.

I haven't actually tried yet, but AWB said they'd pay for both if that's what Audi recommended.

Default haven't found any directly thru audi

the couple of dealers i've talked to sell only 3rd-party warranties for existing owners whose factory warranties are expiring. if you're buying a used car, they will sell you audi assured, but not if you already own an audi.

if you know of a good warranty at a good price from a specific dealer, i'd love to hear about it.

Default Print this out and show them the section where it specifically states to replace them in pairs.

Or have your mechanic bust the other turbo. Take your pick. Don't replace one.<ul><li><a href="http://www.nogaroblue.com/s4/audi_S4_engine_english.pdf">Right click save as</a></li></ul>
