I've had a scary oil sensor failure icon on my dash for two months now. It failed 1,000 miles after I changed the oil and I wasn't about to waste $70 in synthetic, so I waited for the next oil change.
Easiest fix in the world, but there was a lot of confusion at the dealership about the right part. Bentleys was absolutely useless in helping me figure this out - CD or book.
Three bolts and it drops right down. Of course, you need to drain the oil first.

That was part of the problem ... figuring out exactly what it was.
And now I forgot!
It's the level sensor, for sure. It's tall, with an opening at the top. I think it's also temperature. I think there is separate pressure sensor.
