18 months later, the resolution constipation may be coming to a head. SMA is offering to buy my car back for $ 18,500. I have the option of purchasing a new or used car at what I would be assumed a sweatheart deal.
And...that $5300 they say they never received is a separate issue. I told them that with 57 days in their shop, its not like I've been hiding, and to tell me that after 18 months, oh yeah you owe another $5300 smacked as something fishy. Since I bought my car, there have been 3 general managers. Who knows what has gone on with their books.
Its not final yet, but its a good step in the right direction. I'm working with Gary, the service manager, who reports directly to the owner.
its got 59,300 miles on it now. bought it for $ 29.9k 9/8/05 with 43,500 miles.

They should be giving you 100% of what you paid..perhaps less a figure for miles. But 18500 is a loss due to their inept handling of the deal..unless your accounts do have 5300 in them as a result of a non cashed check.
I gave it more thought as to how much it smells.. this cam about due to contact with AoA..they should be contacting you with the plan...not the dealer.

If that money's still yours, it is a good step in the right direction. Then the rest of my steps would be taken crossing Santa Monica Blvd with the 18.5 to the BMW dealership, and sending pics of my leased 530xi to AoA.
Good luck, and keep us posted.

ever assume a dealer will give you a great deal, of course. Any next deal must be part of your agreement up front, right?
Good luck.
Good luck.

this is the first time in 18 months that they've acknowledged something should be done. that's a good step. Now let's work out the numbers.
