Default right front end vibration

My 2005 Allroad has started to vibrate, and the tire guys say that it isn't the tires-- they rotated and balanced the tires I put on 12000 miles ago. The dealer says that it is the tires-- they said that they put on Allroad tires and took the car for a spin and the vibration was gone. When they put my tires back on, it came back, although they roatated the tires again. I'm off to the tire guys again to have them put on a new set just to prove that it isn't the tires. I'm going crazy. Anyone else have this problem? The dealer can't figure out why my mileage droped significantly after the 25000 service, now I have this vibration, and with gas at $3.55+ per gallon, I am ready to throw in the towel. I love my car, but I know the shop guys by name.

Default what kind of tires did you put on?

How many miles on the allroad?

Have the new tires been road force balanced? This can detect imperfections in the tires along with balance issues.

Goodyear Assurance Comfort as recommended. I put them on at 24000 miles and currently have 37000+ on the car.

My dealer is insisting it's the tires. Until I prove him wrong, he won't do anything. I keep saying the drive arms, he keeps saying no way-- they checked that. My car has been in the shop more than 25 times in less than 2 years. This last time-- a broken trunk latch and a coolant leak. A horse might be easier....

Default The tires can balance and still cause vibration (think out-of-round, or a bad belt).

If it's the tires, or (worse) a slighly bent rim, road-force-balancing can help.

http://www.gsp9700.com/</a

Even if they are rotated and balanced? The vibration stays at the right front end.

Default Hm, that is odd. Let us know how it is after the tire place puts on a new set.

Too bad you weren't able to test drive the car when the dealer temp swapped another set of wheels/tires to it. Dealer techs don't always drive fast enough to pick up on the stuff we drivers do

I'm not sure that I believe they actually did it, but that's just being mean! I love my car, but I am tired of all of the problems.
