A while back ago when I first got my AR, I tried to transfer my Panasonic CD changer from my JETTA/GTI into the AR. The changer fit perfectly into the slot in the bracket of the AR, but for some reason the head unit (Symphony) was not reading it. I had read somewhere online that the changer WAS compatible, but couldn't figure out why.

I called my local Audi dealer and asked them to verify whether or not the changer was compatible or not, and their reply was "no, it will not work in the AR, but we've got some in stock that we can sell you for $350.00, plus 4 hours labor to install".

I did further research and found a DPC for the changer on www.pie.net. They sold it to me for $45.00, I plugged it in, and 15 minutes later, I had an operating 6 disc changer.

Not that I was doubting you PaulRoad, but I was sticking to my guns that somehow the changer would work...
