Default They're actually a little difficult to toss very quickly =)

Seems the inline 4s these days are a tiny bit lighter, and have less angular momentum in the engine/drivetrain. That said, I love the feel of the Duc through corners. =)

Default I'm surprised. I always thought the advantage of Ducatis were the light weight/ handling/looks.

I don't have any experience with the newer bikes since I stopped riding in '95. Damn, just realized how long it's been.
The most flickable bike I ever rode was my YSR50. ;-p

I missed the 999? She rode an MV Agusta and that's all I care about

I might have mistaken the 2nd black bike she was on... it was probably the MV =).

Default Some advantages are stability at extreme lean angle, torque off the corner, and WSBK success...

.... the latter only applying to factory sponsored racers - who can benefit from a factory that knows its way around the track. =)

Distinctive looks/sound/etc have always been there.

Unfortunately, Ducs are like Ferraris, in that the common man really can buy more performance for less money. (Though the factory tunes them astonishingly well.) As a result, they're not too competitive in the hands of privateer racers. I don't compete with mine... I just ride 'em. For pure enjoyment, they can't be beat! =)

Default Nice... What the 999 should have been. =)

One of these days, I want to see a moto chase scene with bikes ridden the way we want to see it, with elbow draggin lean angles! Filmed correctly, I think it would be far more exciting than any of the stunt riding films have portrayed so far - many people haven't seen motorocycles pushed to their limit, the way they're meant to be.

I imagine it's difficult, however, to work motorcycle leathers into most plots. =)
