Default Seeking wheel advice.

New Maxxim Wonder 17x8 et 35 wheels with used 225/55/17 Falken Ziex 512's road force balanced. Pics avail here:

SKIroad'r's wheel offer caught my eye. I am in need of some new tires and don't have a second set of wheels. $450 seems like a good price but they need spacers and he has lug nuts that are a bit too long (50mm). $150 to ship.

1) Is there a downside to spacers?
2) Are these good wheels/price?
3) What would spacers cost me?

Wheel pictures

Default wheel spacers will add stress to the wheel bearings which could lead to

premature failure. I'm pretty sure Achtuning/Hartmann sell spacers along with PureMS and several other tuners.

Never heard of the wheels so I'm not sure if their good/bad.

Default Wheels are manufactured by Konig

I would not put them in the same category as Hartmann etc, but at $150 a corner for wheels and tires that are mounted, Roadforce balanced and shipped, I think it's pretty well priced, but as the seller I am clearly biased.

Default Spacers will run $150-200 for 15mm

I used 15mm H&R's on my concept nuvos with 35et. The spacers put the wheels on spec with the oem 20et so I don't think you're doing much harm to the suspension.

^ not true when used to correct the offset, only when going past factory wheel offset.

1992 lowered c1500. Adapter required for a 5 on 4.75 to a 5 on 5.
