On occasion wife's car will display the following 3 indicator lights, which stay on until you turn the car on and off.
Self Leveling, ESP & ABS. All 3 come on at once. Car seems to drive fine, level is OK.
Have brought it in numerous times and nothing is ever found.
What do these 3 light means when on simultaneously?

Historically this is the BRAKE PEDAL switch. Its a 25.00 part and other than lying on your back is easy to fix. Any Indy shop can do it. Or you can pay a dealer over $100.00 to.
You symptoms of the 'sometimes' and 'reset when off', is exactly what mine was TWICE and many other allroaders as well.
A VAG-COM scan will also show the fault.

That's all it is is a faulty brake pedal switch?
And the dealer had no clue of this on the numerous times I brought it in.. .
Does anyone have a PN and / or DIY on this procedure. I'll do it this weekend just for laughs.
Thanks...

Most don't because.. the fault only shows on their scan if the fault is active. I had to drive around and wait for the light to 'come on' the first time in order to get it covered.
Below is the image you need. Its pretty self explanatory.
Just ask a VW or Audi parts shop for a brake pedal switch.

Yep, just had this happen a couple of weeks ago on the bride's '04 Allroad, argued with the dealer who told me that "those guys on the internet don't know what they're talking about", they wanted to replace the instument cluster! I asked them if they would please consider just replacing the brake lite switch first and he said they'd check on it. When I came to pick it up later that day and asked what they did to fix it, well you all know the answer - brake lite switch! They also said they had to see the lights on to diagnose it so I sent them a pic in an email!

Yeah, brake light switch. $5 part. Easy to change. I'm not sure what paulroad means by "the fault only shows on their scan if the fault is active. I had to drive around and wait for the light to 'come on' the first time in order to get it covered."
I simply ran a scan after the first time the light came on and it indicated the brake light switch was intermittent. That code stays there until you clear it.

Just had the warning light trifecta myself. Is it the "Brake Pedal Switch" or the "Brake Light Switch?" The reason I ask is that I can't seem to find the part online anywhere and want to make sure I'm searching correctly. Anyone have the part#, or am I just better off calling the dealer parts dept and grabbing it there? Seems like an easy enough DIY, even for those of us who aren't mechanically inclined...

just go to an or VW or an audi dealer and ask for the part in the picture linked at the bottom of the thread. It is a CHEAP part. Some will call it brake light some will call it brake pedal.
