Default Shaky shifter

On acceleration I'm noticing that my shifter lever is vibrating and visibly shaking. It's especially noticeable when I hold the RPMs around mid range. It seems to be more prominent in the lower gears as I work up through the gears. I had new tires put on recently and that did not cure the problem. Could it be a transmission mount?

Possibly.
Are you throwing any codes?

I will plug in my VAG COM and check. At high RPMs and at cruising speed it is fine. Just in the middle range (most torque) does the shifter wobble. I did replace my slave cylinder earlier in the year and in the process I detached the linkage to access the slave cylinder. Perhaps that linkage has come loose. The shift action is also not as smooth as it should be. But then again, it's not the best shifter out there.

I did not have any faults. Could the problem be a bad tranny mount or bushing? What typically goes on these? I did replace the rear mount The one near the diff. over a year ago. Maybe it's a motor mount.

If you take apart the clutch, there is this rubber part in the plate I believe that needs to be replaced. I remember having the same problem, I just can't remember exactly what I did...

I've not had a chance to look into similar behavior on my 6-speed, but I've been told it may be a symptom of an inner CV boot being torn.

I had a similar issue on my 04 6spd.

visibly shaking shifter under moderate to heavy acceleration in 3rd thru 5th gear

had it aligned at dealer and it went away completely?

can anyone explain that?

thought the prob was engine or trans mounts but they are fine.
