How do you like it? And how much of that worthless piece of @#$% OEM shifter does it replace? Tried to adjust out the vibration and slop, discovered that that the **** is held on with a hose clamp!!! Gee I didn't know that Pep Boys was a supplier to Audi! There is entirely too much platic in the shifter.Yeah Yeah I know take to the dealer,It's new, warranty, blah, blah, blah.
My car has been in more than seven times for shifter and clutch problems. As a matter of fact it has spent a least two days months since I bought it at the dealer. Either repeated trips before they acknowledge the problem, or several trips before its fixed.

it's MUCH better than the OEM plastic and pot metal thing. It's 35% reduction and feels solid.
Several other manufacturers make ss for the allroad. However, I wanted to keep the nice walnut **** (2001) and I believe only the Neuspeed ss lets you reuse the OE ****.

It has totally changed the driving experience for me. Much more positive throws making for much smoother driving. I found the stock combination of the sloppy, vague linkage and the long travel clutch with high engagement very frustrating, especially around town. I've been exremely happy with this mod.
You'll have to use a screw-in type ****. I used the stock A6 wood **** (I think vtheman did, too) from Clair parts. They have a general site url, but search under "2001 A6 2.7t interior" and you'll find it.

The shifter **** is different on 2002, Where did you get it? How Much? I like your wheels by the way, you inspired me to get a set. Your sig pic was the deciding factor. I liked my SO3's but they wore out way too fast <15000! What size tire are you using, I plan on 255/45-18.

then it started popping and sticking on release. After three trips to the dealer they finally agreed, after replacing the slave to no avail. Replaced clutch and now its very smooth about 1/3 up from the floor with very linear and predictable engagement. Love the clutch, hate the shifter.

around $250. If the **** wasn't an issue, I'd have gotton the Tanoga (with the ball bearing option). Long term, that's probably better than the plastic bushing on the Neuspeed.
Thanks. I'm really glad I got those wheels. I like the "industrial" look with the large center cap. The S0-3s are new (only two track days and 2k miles) so I don't know how they will wear - but I don't expect much. The OEM Goodyears only lasted 17K. I'm using 245/45/18s. I was really impressed with the sidewall strength of the 18" SO3s when I tracked it. There was no rollover at all, even with this uhm...."chunky" (4200 pound) car.

Looks very nice from the pics on AWE's site. It will be worth the price alone to get rid of the shifter rattling.
Does anyone know if there are any differences between the 2003 shifter and ones prior?
