Default i have no warranty, nothing about allroad scares me, and i have had very few problems

link supplied is to an allroad guy who has tracked and supplied cost for every repair he has done outside of 4 year/50k warranty for your info, info is below his sig pics.

imo 01's and o2's are the best year to buy.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/allroad/msgs/127607.phtml">click me</a></li></ul>

Thanks Skidmark!
I have heard stories of turbos going bad and other big ticket items...
the guinea pig guy had no issues with that (unless they were during warranty)
any comment on that?

Why would you suggest a 01 or 02?
I can get an 01 for 26k Canadian... same price as a A4 quattro wagon!
I may feel safer without turbos and the goodies that go with it, but the only other I would want would be a 3.0
Also, are all automatic allroads tiptronic or whatever they are called? or are they JUST auto?<ul><li><a href="http://www.cardomain.com/ride/405791">http://www.cardomain.com/ride/405791</a</li></ul>

Default RMcQ is on original turbos at 100K, and almost 1/2 of that was chipped if i remember correctly.

there are a lot of expensive things that can break on an allroad, turbos would run 5k with labor. if you fix things yourself or have a trust worthy mechanic you are much better off.

all auto allroads are tip, some have shift buttons on steering wheel(01s and 02s), but all have brake throttle lag which is a major complaint of tip guys(car will hesitate badly from start in certain situations).

i like 01s and 02s because i feel audi starting cutting options, and corner on parts as the us dollar started falling against the euro to compensate for loss of profit. iirc the us dollar fell around 30% to the euro from 2002 to 2004

Default The 3.0 is a lame Dog, IMHO.....try to test drive both, AR and A4 then you'll see...

One recommended key word string is "common allroad problem" to search on this forum. You should get 59 hits over 5 pages.

This will give you plenty of info about Rocking seats over warped Rotors to throttle lag. Have fun reading ;-)
