Default Sick of chip questions yet? I don't recall seeing this one yet, so

I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who has investigated the ramifications of chipping as it affects an extended warranty -- that is, could a chip be considered grounds for refusing work that would otherwise be covered? And might there be a distinction between having a chip that was installed after buying the extended warranty and one that predated the warranty?
