Default Signal/Wiper Stalk Failure(s)?

Last week I noticed my turn signals completely stopped working on my 2004 AR. The next time I drove it, the problem seemed to have completely corrected itself. Then a few days ago they failed again, this time it was raining and I noticed the wipers locked up as well and were 100% non-responsive. The problem went away after 15 minutes of driving and everything worked fine.

Today, both signal and wiper stalks went dead again -- and are still dead. Is this related to the blinker relay? Would the blinker relay effect the operation of my wipers? Wiring issue?

Could be the relay. I had a similar thing happen to me. Do your emergency flashers still work? The relay is a $35 part at your Audi dealer. It is a pretty common failure.

Hazards work.

Update: Suddenly everything worked fine on my morning commute. Come lunch time, everything's dead again. There's no erratic blinking, buzzing or any other signs of failure -- it just stops working all together.

But, do the hazards work when the other stuff fails?

My local dealer wanted $88 for the relay.
Where's the best place to source it online?

don't buy a relay yet ... check Carson Heter @ Riverside Audi .. look it up for the number.. You get AW discount should be max $30.... 88 is insanely overpriced... but I don't think thats your problem

Update: My HVAC system now refuses to work. Air will not blow, regardless of hot/cold/fan settings.

Should I bite the bullet and take it to my local over-priced somali pirate of dealership (audi exchange, highland park)?

Fuses are good.

VAG-COM is showing no codes.
