Snow and Ice traction ramps , a must have for snow season

Towing isn't fun either, you have to pull off the metal guard on the rear it's messy, hard to get back on, and there's always the possibility of breaking it or the attachment points (as well as now having a floating piece of metal in the back of the car until you get a warm chance to clean the whole back end and re-install it)
Front tow hook isn't so fun either
I bought these organge ,metal, foldable ones from LL Bean a few years back and they just say in the box (llbean no longer seems to sell them on a quick search)
This year in, I've been keeping them in the car (along with other emergency stuff)
So far I've used them onece for the ar and 2x for friends' cars (hope 2wd folk will be foreward thinking enough to put their chains on before hand, even if they are not going thru chain control)
