with the sudden rash of known Audi World sales of the 04 Allroad, (add the general bu unknown population sales to this) that Audi might think about a new allroad based on the new A6 platform?

Now with the SUV market in decline before the gas prices, and now steadily downward, wagons are the new IN thing. I had the first AR in my area in early 2001, it took almost 2 years beore I saw another. They had 2001's still new when 03's came out. Now I see several everyday. If Audi doesn't reconsider or possibly moderate the Pikes Peak, like Chrysler did with the Pacifica,( INtroduced nothing but expensive loaded cars, when strippers and modest packages were what people wanted, then they sat until encentives were heaped to move them) then Audi will have missed the boat again. I like the still semi exclusivity of the AR, If they introduce another, then our resale value will plummet. tough call.

Audi were too early with the allroad and too late with Pikes Peak. They should have introduced Pikes Peak 3 years ago just when (excuse the pun) the sport brute segment was peaking. They should now be launching the allroad based on the new A6 platform with height adjustable suspension and a range of engines including the S6 engine, not canning it.
In truth Audi screwed up big time and lost $millions in the process.
