I was driving in the rain today and noticed a scraping sound. Come to find out my splash shield on the right side (passenger) was hanging so I ripped it off. Is it something urgently needing to be fixed? Or will it be okay for some time as long as I don’t drive in harsh weather or rocky roads.

I was driving today and I have an Audi A4 b9 (2017) quattro model. Went through a huge puddle and then heard something dragging. When I got to the garage me and an attendant looked underneath to see something after the main front engine guard that looked like this part - SPLASH SHIELD GUARD AUDI A4 B9 2015+ 8W0863822B

What does it cover and is it okay to drive it home dragging - is it plastic?
