My son's 2003 2.7 automatic Allroad just quit starting. Cranks but does not fire. Did the usual troubleshooting steps for spark, fuel and air and narrowed it down to fuel. Can anyone give me trouble shooting steps to decide if it is coolant temp sensor, fuel pump relay, crankshaft position sensor or fuel pump? I don't have a code reader for Audi and the car is stuck 35 miles away from my house (and garage). The car was starting just fine ( did not require a lot of cranking) until today when it just cranks but doesn't start. There has been a check engine light on for quite some time. I don't know what codes are related to that.

if we knew the mileage, we could make a better guess . . . if its 125k+ most likely fuel pump, relay doesnt seem to fail often

Mileage is 178K.

yup, my money is on the pump with those miles
if you wanted to replace the other 2 sensors first, go ahead, a lot easier than the pump
