STFA...windshield washer nozzle jet thing not working (it this description gets too technical let me
know...did the logical thing by making sure there is enough fluid...filled the tank up...wow that takes about a gallon of blue stuff btw...stuck a pin in the nozzle jet, this is always a high tech procedure used on ink jet printers, computer mice and assorted home appliances...unplugged of course....now it still is farkled...of course I won't tell you how funny it would have been for you all to see me looking inside the engine bay for the sprayer jet heads only to find them above my head on the hood (please mute laughter at this point)...so I also, being not quite a rocket scientist but pretty darn bright, see that there is an electrical switch that operates the jet and the connection seems ok and the hose doesn't seem broken, leaking or crushed....what are the chances that it is something that doesn't cost an arm or a leg or require taking the entire front of the car off???
Any help at this point is greatly appreciated...TIA

I don't think that's an electrical washer jet...
I believe the wires going to the jets are just for the heaters. There is still a pump somewhere back up the line (and separate pumps for the headlamp washers, too).
I'd look up a diagram for you but my Bentley manual is on the work laptop, left at work tonight.
Is there any flow at all?

could be the check valve located along the line that carries the fluid. There job is to keep the lines pressurized and prevent the fluid from flowing backwards into the tank, so when you pull the washer lever, you get fluid instantly, instead of having to wait for the fluid to come from the tank to the jet. If you aren't getting fluid to one side, I would suspect this to be the cause. Certainly the pump works because you get spray on one side, and the pump provides fluid to both jets. Frozen up because of cold weather is possible but if the vehicle's running then there's enough heat off the engine to thaw frozen jets/nozzles rather quickly. I'm thinking check valve, can be bought at local auto parts store for less than $5.00 unless Audi specific; usually not though.

Run is for a bit, then see if there's any puddles, maybe there's a hole in the hose to that side?
Mine sometimes don't work when it's cold enough...but that's usually both sides at once. Hope you figure it out painlessly!

You're right about that ... here's some info from the eBahn manual.

Disconnect the hose at each jet and have someone check that fluid comes out of both. If it does ...
then you know that the problem is with the jet and not the pump, reservoir or hoses. If you see my post below you'll see the warning about inserting a pin or similar into the jet. :O)
