Default Sunday project #2 - Home Depot loves me. (allroad content this tim)

well after my fist project (see post above) i helped a friend haul some wood for some garage shelves hes building... the longest peices (4"x"x10') barely fit.. but they did.. perfectly.. just touched the windsheild.

Good thing you didn't have to stop quickly.

Default Yep, the 10 footers are TIGHT, and you can't put very many in...

...you can load up on quite a few 8 footers though. You can also fit a twin mattress behind the seats. How many SUVs out there can't do that? More than a few I bet.

Yep, done it with ease. Both the mattress and box spring at the same time.

Default 10 ft is easy

Recline the front pasenger seat al the way.
Remove the back seat head rest
slide the wood in under the dash. It might be a little safer.

(I use a old rug to protect the seat.)
