Sunroof shade has detached itself.
The 'fabric' interior cover to my sunroof has somehow managed to detach itself from the glass. If I slide the glass all the way back it pulls the shade with it and they both hide above the headliner. But now when I close it back up the shade part stays hidden and doesn't pop out the 2 inches it used to so I could grab on to it and close it. So instead I have to reach back with my long fingers and pull it out.
Anyone have this happen before, and how does it get fixed?

More: also look to see that when you close the sunroof that the actual plastic track itself comes forward. The plastic track is connected to the sunroof along the side rails. When you close roof, track moves forward bringing fabric part with it. Thats how most of them work. If the track isn't moving forward as required, generally youd see all the roof connecting bolts, screws, etc showing; thats one way to tell. You shouldn't have to remove headliner, or sunroof. The track is flexible enough to snap back into place once you'd pulled it from inside the headliner (where it's probably hiding). Most sunroofs are made of three (3) parts. 1. Glass, 2. Plastic track, 3. Fabric cover
I have corrected same problem before on VW's; Audi probably built same way.
