Suspension Height

It's a long shaggy dog story, but my 2002 allroad has been at the dealers for just over three weeks with a slow sagging rear suspension.
They fixed the leak, but in the process managed to get the car in such a state that the rear suspension would go from levels 1-4 but the front would only go from levels 2-3. If you put it in 1 or 4, the suspension fault light would come on. Anyway it's fixed now, got it back New Years Eve, but I am convinced that it is now higher at all levels.
So could some kind person please let me know how high each of the suspension settings are? In the manual, it mentions ground clearance, but this is really difficult to measure.
What's the accepted way to measure, mine on level 1 is 14.3 cm's form the top of the wheel rim to the bottom of the wheel arch. Does this seem right ?
Thanks.

I understand from previous posts on the topic that the spec for level 2 (second lowest) is 402 mm from the center of wheel hub to bottom edge of fender arch. There is also a tolerance, if I remember correctly +- 5 mm. You might want to check hph's or Neb's earlier posts on suspension height and tuning.

402mm is distance from wheel center to fender in level 2.
402mm-25mm = 377mm = distance in level 1
377mm - (17in/2)*25.4mm/in = distance from top of rim to fender in level 1 = 161mm
so, at 143mm... you're low.

then you should be 1 inch higher in level 2,1 inch higher in level 3 and 6/10 of an inch higher in level 4

Thanks for the responses. It may seem high as I was lent a loan A6 while they where fixing the allroad. Is the A6 much lower?
The A6 was good on fuel, about 52mpg whilst going down the motor way at 70 mph, but it seemed way underpowered and was prone to the traction control coming on. Also the ride didn't seem as good or as quiet as the allroad, so I am glad to be back in my own car.
