symphony ii randomness...
i notice that with all 6 cds in the dash-loading changer and the random option turned on there is very little randomness. basically, it will play at least 5 or 6 songs on the same cd before randomly selecting another cd to play another 5 or 6 songs, before then selecting yet another cd... has anyone had this happen? random would normally imply that it randomly selects a song from all 6 cds each time... kind of a drag really.

RTFM! It states that the Symphony will play something like 80% of one CD before moving to the next.
That way it "maximizes" your listening enjoyment. So you don't have a lot of pauses between switching of the CDs. The manual actually states something like that.

perhaps a better question is how do you turn off such a lame-a$$ feature? should be called pseudo-random or something more appropriate.
