Default Might have been me. Learned it from the Passat forum in 2000.

My allroad is a 6-speed but my wife's 2000 4Motion Passat had a tip lag problem that was corrected by resetting the pedal. I also posted the procedure below for anyone that missed it before. (See 6 speed=no lag reply below)

Default Well, that's a start...

...so either it's in the Passat literature, or it's an ancient urban myth. HPH

Default VW Tech Told Me Same on 1993 Passat GLX

He said that the procedure is an undocumented feature...similar to the Ctrl-Alt-Del procedure you get accustomed to after owning a computer with Win9x...

It absolutely worked on my Passat. It works on my allroad, but the allroad "learns" at a much faster rate than my Passat did and requires reseting far more often.

Yes; you paid $45k so you can go through this compulsive behavior every morning!!!

And yes; my friends look at me weird too...especially when I look like The Wizard pulling on my tip lever feverishly to avoid the lag. Don't look behind the curtain!!!!!

All the way to '93? Nice to see VAG is all over this!
