My allroad is a 6-speed but my wife's 2000 4Motion Passat had a tip lag problem that was corrected by resetting the pedal. I also posted the procedure below for anyone that missed it before. (See 6 speed=no lag reply below)

He said that the procedure is an undocumented feature...similar to the Ctrl-Alt-Del procedure you get accustomed to after owning a computer with Win9x...
It absolutely worked on my Passat. It works on my allroad, but the allroad "learns" at a much faster rate than my Passat did and requires reseting far more often.
Yes; you paid $45k so you can go through this compulsive behavior every morning!!!
And yes; my friends look at me weird too...especially when I look like The Wizard pulling on my tip lever feverishly to avoid the lag. Don't look behind the curtain!!!!!
