Default thermo-switch: Did I receive the correct part?

Hi all-

Just rcv'd the low temp thermoswitch. However, I'm not sure this is the correct part. It's made by Facet of Italy (per the box) and is VW part# 021 919 369. But the plug is black, not blue. Any way I can tell if this is mispackaged? Number off the part itself is 4133 06F 95. If needed I can post a picture of the switch and/or box.

TIA!

The part# is right, but I am not sure if the color does matter?

Default Just double checked vagcat.com. States that part should be blue/white.

Per vagcat:
temperature sender with switch / for coolant temperature gauge / and/or / additional water pump / F >> 70-X-080 000*
-- + 93/88C 4 pin blue/white 20MM /

ECS seems to carry the blue variety, as does WorldImpex. It looks just like the sensor on those sites, but this one is black. Odd...

Maybe you can verify it by hot water and thermometer and resistor-meter???

Is that the part color? I've thought it is the color of the wire ;-)

Default Haha <raises hand>. Yep, replaced that sensor two months ago, was definitely green.

But want's pic shows the PN stamped right on the part. And that's definitely not what's stamped on the side of the sensor I just received. Think I'll give autohaus a call tomorrow.

Just so we are clear ...below is the link to QCrazy's post for the sensor I'm shootin for.

click
