I chipped my allroad with the GIAC chip several weeks ago. I didn't mention it to my wife as she doesn't understand the car modding addiction. I paid cash due to the sale of a lawn tractor the weekend before so there was no financial record that she would have seen.

Anyway, she has driven the car numerous times since then and hasn't mentioned any change. She is generally more observant than most non-enthusiasts and she certainly appreciates adequate power/torque in a car.

I am thinking that this is a good sign. The chip runs just like normal until you really put the hammer down. Without driving like an a-hole the car is just like stock.

Any similar experiences or opposite experiences?

my brother drove my car the 1st time after install and he came back and said your going to have fun,it's quite a bit faster then before.have you done logs since you chipped to see difference? remember you posting stock logs.
