Default for those of you who have been able to find suspension leaks ...

So when parked in level 1, the car will leak. It will only take a little more than an hour for the front to sag. I will come back to the car and it will blink the yellow suspension error light and then pump itself back up to level 1. On level 2 and higher the car is solid. I've put a jack underneath the parked car to verify that the car doesnt sink even a cm.

After searching through this thread I read that I still probably have a leak. And most likely it is along the part where the rubber folds over.

So I jacked up the allroad last night, took off the tire and then put soapy water all over the air spring. Before taking off the airspring I was concerned that not having weight on the spring would mean that I wouldn't be able to see air coming out. But even with the car jacked up an no weight on the spring, I gave the spring a thumb and a knock and it sounded like there was pressure in there keeping it tight.

As for the soapy water, I couldn't find a darn leak.

For those of you who have done this, even when the car is jacked up, there is still a fold at the base of the air spring, I put soapy water along the crease, and didn't see any leaks, but I can't be for sure since there could be a small leak in the crease that sends air sideways past the bubbles on the crease.

Do I:
1. figure out a better way to test
2. order seals and take apart spring to see if the seals have gone bad.
3. order seals and spring and assume that there must be a leak on the spring I can't see.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Default soapy water test should be donne on the wheels, in your case on

level 1.
But if you shot some green Slime in to it, i think, that will cure that leak.
I had the car leaking on level 1 and level 2, after Slime job everythink is Ok, no sagging...

Default yeah, I've been reluctant to shoot slime in there...

wasn't sure how it might affect air distribution system or the shock in the long run.

Does the slime dry? does it clot? or does it stay viscous forever?

Default after looking at some slime FAQs on websites

My biggest concern is that they say that the slime will not dry out because the air in a tire does not change. Therefore the slime will not evaporate.

In an air spring, the air changes often. Therefore, will the slime dry out and put slime dust on everything in the spring?

Default there really is nothign inside the spring...

Especially in the front. The spring surrounds the sealed shock, but the piston on the shock is outside the spring.
