Default Thule Atlantis 1800 plus two bikes...

For those interested in roof boxes here's my set up with the Atlantis 1800 plus two bikes. The box occupies the entire area between the allroad rails so the bike mounts go outside. Works very nicely.

Default You have to love that truck in a neighborhood, the yard police would have come after us

when we lived in suburbia...couldn't even keep your garage door open for very long...I think it's great...we used to wait to mow just to **** the neighbors off May be why we moved to the country

nice...it would suck if you tried to garage your car. Maybe a "reminder" note on the dash??

Default Re: Thule Atlantis 1800 plus two bikes...

I was just reading this interesting article on aerodynamics on an F1 site:

"This takes a lot of detailed work in the millimetre range. It ranges from smoothing down the underbody to optimising the airflow through the wheels and even to working on integrated rear spoilers," explains Dr. Christoph Lauterwasser from the Allianz Center for Technology. "That is the only way to achieve drag co-efficient values under 0.30 while at the same time minimising the lift on the rear axle. However, anyone travelling with a roof box or a bike carrier will completely undermine all that meticulous development work."<ul><li><a href="http://f1.racing-live.com/f1/en/headlines/news/detail/060917144049_1.shtml">http://f1.racing-live.com/f1/en/headlines/news/detail/060917144049_1.shtml</a</li></ul>

Just put the garage door opener in the back where you can't reach it.
