Default thule rooftop box

so I'm looking at the option for Thule rooftop boxes - is there a specific box that fits the AR particularly well? I would think the antenna would be an issue? Thoughts, opinions, pics are all very welcome.

Default I also recommend the ski carrier rather than the more square luggage box.

Happened into this forum by mistake, decided to look at the thread.

I've got a Thule ski carrier (I think it's the older style 669 Mountaineer), and heartily recommend them over the more square luggage boxes. 1st, they're more aerodynamic. Second, when mounted on the passenger side, as shown in vtheman and JLB's posts, they're easy to access. The far side of those wide luggage boxes (like the 667 Excursion) would be a bear to get to. Loading one side is a non-issue, as the suspension compensates.

On my Avant, I was able to locate the carrier on the bars so it didn't interfere with the antenna. Heck, if you're getting it from an REI or somewhere like that, where they've got display models, ask the store to take it loose and place it on your AR so you can see how it fits.

Default Heh heh... watching boarders "ride" through trees is good fun for skiers...

I think treerun may be one of the few with skills to make it through alive. You know, turning is involved... =)
