9000 vs 8000
Yeah, the ultimate performance envelope changed (read: was ultimately smaller in dry conditions), but the on-road manners and real world performance of the 9000's outclassed the 8000's (including increased treadwear rating). Again, however, I'm suggesting the 9000's as a road tire, not a track tire. I don't have any experience with the T1-S's though.

You may be right, but it seems the Pilot A/S comes close; as for Toyo...

The Toyo's would have to be a summer wheel size - i.e. 245/45/18...
I diddn't realize you were looking at summer tires for the stock wheel. In that case, you're right about choices being very limited - in stock outside diameters.
