Default Tire rotation - interval - 5k or 10k - what are you doing?......

I've always rotated tires at 5,000 miles and even with that, have sometimes run into uneven wear. Apparently the recommended interval for the allroad is 10,000, based upon the service recommendations in my manual. Now that my car is out of warranty and I'll no longer be getting the included service from the dealer, wondering if I should go ahead and shift to a 5,000 interval instead of 10,000. What is everyone else doing? Since my current set of tires are fairly new, would like to maximize their life. Is there any downside to doing it every 5k?

Default 5k or less. These cars can eat a tire in less miles than that.

I've started making a habit of checking the inner shoulder of the fronts regularly.

Default I do almonst every 10k, but thats every-other month for me

I take 1 day per month that I take as a "maintenance day" for my car. Oil change and detail on each, tire rotation every other oil change. brakes and misc items as needed.

Default I ride on Nokians year round here in Calgary, those tires have at tread

warranty for up to 80K KM as long as they are rotated every 10K KM. I have doen about 50K and they are on there way out...perhaps 10K KM more. On top of that I suspect one tire is not round.....makes a starnge noise between 80-120KM/H and also shakes very slightly.

Default had the same problem on ours. Got a GOOD alignment and kept tires near max PSI and no problems...

last set were cheap sumitomos and they were looking great after nearly 10K. No inner edge wear, rotated @ 5K and keep the pressures up!.

Default Agree! Keep the pressure up. I keep mine near 45psi. What do others keep theirs at?

I am running Pzero Nero M+S.

Default Since we are on the subject of tire rotation...

What is the proper tire rotation for NON-directional tires on an allroad?

Do you still do front to back? Or do you cross them?

I had heard you never want to cross them even if they are non-directional... something about the steel belts inside... reversing the direction of the tire somehow weakens it somehow... Not sure if it was BS or not. Does anybody know?

Thanks!
Gavin
