Default I'll attest to the tow capability of Steve's allroad, having seen it first hand a lot...

but having just completed a 1700 mile round trip pulling my 911 from Chicago to VIR through the mountains, there's no way I'd have tried it with my old allroad. The V8 X5 struggled in places.

Default the allroad is rated to tow 3300# and the torque converter doesn't do the rest

of the car justice. I would not consider towing anything over 2,500 - 3,000 lbs, and then only if we were still under warranty.

Good info...thanks !! but sorry i am still convince that i can follow the EU rating of 5000# without any problem. For sure i am going to try it. Of course the AR will be chipped to optimum HP and Torque either with a GIAC or a APR and the trans (GIAC) also. W.will see !!

Default Let us know. Hope you're always going downhill! The tail will be wagging the dog.

The car's got plenty of power, the TC doesn't.

Default upgrades to the allroad include...

APR chip
turboback exhaust
upgraded 3zero3 motorsports torque converter
oil cooler
trans cooler

Been towing for 2 years now and my trailer has electric brakes with a dash mounted controller.

Thanks to all people who have comment on this thread. Your opinion and /or warning have been very precious and appreciated. I will do some test for sure with travel trailer in the 3000 # range (dry weight) with elec. brakes and weight distribution /sway bars. For sure i am paying much attention to not going over GVWR of the car that is here in Canada 2530 kg ou 5575#. And i am going to also make sure the GAWR for the rear axle is also not over. For that i will be checking them at a public scale not to far from my business plant.
I will keep you posted.
If anyone has further comments...please feel free to write them out.
Ciao!!! Henriot
