trany slipping...
Hello !
My ar with 215k miles on has a trany sliping problem. My mechanic says that it is a "mechanical problem" that does make any code on the the computer. Internal clutch are worned out and when pressure is low it slip...The ar is still running well and accelerate well as soon as rev are 3000 rpm and more. I love that car and at the same time i hate it when it comes to paying for high repair costs. So according to my mech. i need a full trany overall and doing so will cost me around 4k $$. What if i use a thicker grade of oil to built up more pressure to have the clutch working better ?? Should it help me to keep the ar for an other 6 to 8 months .....may be more ??
