Default Trick to installing child seat?

I'm trying to install a child seat front facing behind the passenger seat in my new (to me) ar. I prefer it on that side for safer loading/unloading at curbs. But it seems like the dog net thingymajigger is actually fixed to that half of the rear seat, which makes attaching the tether near impossible if you still want to use the dog net since the tether cannot fit between the seat and the net holder but must be strapped over it, rendering the net unusable. I figure a solution would be to install the child seat behind the driver's seat, because that half of the bench can be released, allowing me to install the tether then push the seat back back into place and still use the dog net.

Am I missing something here? (maybe it's in the manual, but my car didn't come with one, so it's in the mail).

Thanks.

Default I couldn't find a way around it either, so the net is not usable...

...with the child seat installed. If anyone has the solution for using tethers with a seat in this location, please let me know.

Default If this is what you're talking about it can be done...

with some patience...try moving the back seat in addition to removing (and re-installing) the net frame. It's been a while since I did it or I would give you a step by step...but at a minimum I figured this picture would show that it can be done (again if this is what you're talking about)

I believe I removed the net...threaded the strap through (flat) and re-installed the net. I then pulled the strap tight. I may be wrong, as I mentioned, it's been a while.

The whole net frame can be removed by sliding it toward the passenger side of the car. With the back seats folded forward and the passenger door open...try sliding it in that direction it should come free
