My wife and I just purchased a 2001 Allroad with the 2.7T biturbo. (nice ride) I have the 2002 A4 with the 3.0. I have read a few write ups and it appears well documented on the hesitation on kickdown. I'm looking for feedback on what others have done to help improve that. TIA

... What people were talking about was Tip lag or the hesitation between the time they mash the throttle and the time that the tranny hooked up. Not much turbo lag on these motors, at least not enough to ever be noticed by me. But then again, I drive a 6-speed manual.

Get the GIAC TIP CHIP.. it reprograms your tranny to shift faster and smoother. This is what others have indicated. I drive a 6 speed. So it's second hand. The A6 2.7T guys too use it..
