We bought a 2002 2.7T 6-speed from a dealer two weeks ago. The first time I had a chance to really drive the car (my wife's) I found it had quite a shake in the steering wheel above 40mph, sometimes worse than others. The dealer checked it out and found a bent left front wheel (which he tried to blame on me but finally had it straightened at no cost) and a bad right front tire (shifted belt) which they replaced (tires are Contitouring Contact 225/55 R17 97H CH95. They said they force balanced all wheels, putting the rears on the front and it's better but the steering wheel still shakes at times. I'm taking it in to have the shop forman take it for a ride. Our old '96 A6 wagon was smooth as silk. Is the feel of the Allroad that much different?
