Default washing/waxing allroad, do you wax the roof?

also what is this clearbra stuff that extends about 4 inches above the bottom of the car past the rear door down by the wheel well. it's browned up and impossible to clean clear. what kind of wax do you recommend? I just finished waxing my cousins Murano with Turtle Wax and applicator pad and man is that stuff hard to get back off. Car looks great and will probably be waxed for weeks now but it's real hard to get it all off, and it leaves little dots of wax when u wipe it that then leave streaks if u don't remove them at first, which is impossible, so you end up clearing the wax swirls away down to these dots that have left streak lines all around where you've terry-clothed, and then lots of elbow grease to get this stuff off. Probably won't put that on the allroad tho, tell me what u think.

I use Menzerna products and do apply their FMJ (wax) to the roof. But opt not to polish it.

Default I used Menzerna with a random orbital polisher for the first time this past week..

I had some marks on the roof I couldn't get off by hand with a water spot remover, so I thought I would try the polisher to apply the Menzerna glaze with a finishing pad. Turned out great. followed up with FMJ by hand. I wouldn't use an aggressive polish though. Different type of paint.

Every part of the exterior of the car should get some type of protectant. Be it painted, plastic, metal, or rubber. If not, eventually it will show its age from UV rays.

Default It's paint. Wax it.

I use Blitz One Grand wax. Got it and all the rest from carcareonline.com. They have great how-to articles.

Default Turtle wax is icky...do a search for TroyH in the detailing forum and read up...the

stuff he recommends and that is suggested in this thread are awesome...also the process he suggests is really good...FWIW
