I don't do them on any of my cars unless it pulls or i see uneven tire wear.

I just did my first alignment last week at 60K. I had new tires put on the week before, and when the indy checked it out for the long holiday drive back east, they found the car tracking to the right.

Given the investment in new tires, I figured that it was worth it to make sure they wore evenly.
